Easy DIY Fall Wreath

11I have had a left over wreath wire frame from about a year ago just sitting around. Honestly, I just didn’t have any idea what I wanted to do with it. So, as I decorated my mantle this past weekend for the fall season this wreath frame came to mind. It’s hard not to be inspired by all the beautiful, fall colored leaves. Am I right? Then it hit me. I wanted to make a fall leaf wreath completely out of leaves. Bingo!

The great news is that this wreath comes in around a very budget friendly $6. I grabbed three bags of different colored leaves from Wal Mart for under $1 a bag, my hot glue gun, and my wire wreath frame (previously purchased for just under $3) and set out to make my fall leaf wreath.

12 13To attach each leaf, I simply placed a bit of glue at the end of each leaf and placed the leaf exactly where I wanted. I overlapped them while having the leaves facing the same circular direction but I tried to not give too much thought beyond that on how I laid them out. I wanted this wreath to have that natural leaf scattered look you see when you look out over your yard about this time of year and yet still have a uniform, wreath feel to it.

Here is a close up of the leaf pattern on the wreath:
